Ahsay v7 - CSR Generation

This manual is for Ahsay v7 CBS. The appliance has a built-in CSR generator so the CSR doesn't need to be created externally.

A Certificate Signing Request (CSR) is required when applying for an SSL certificate. This CSR (and private key) can be generated on your webserver. To request a wildcard certificate, fill in an * (asterisk) for the subdomain, for example *.sslcertificaten.nl (instead of www.sslcertificates.nl).

  1. Log into your Ahsay appliance and navigate to System Settings, Basic and open the SSL tab. Under SSL Certificate click on the yellow plus button.
  2. A new page will be shown where you need to fill in the required information. Click on the Next button when done.
  3. You will now receive the CSR which you will need to request a certificate via our website. On the Ahsay SSL Certificate page you will see a pending status.
  4. The generated private key will be stored within the Ahsay installation, this will be used on the installation of your certificate. You are now all set to order the certificate.

To order a certificate, copy the entire contents of the generated CSR, including the first and last line and all dashes.
