ISO certification renewed and extended with 9001 and WebTrust

31 January 2018

In 2017, we’ve put a lot of effort into renewing Xolphin’s ISO 27001:2013 and WebTrust certification, as well as achieving the ISO 9001:2015 certification. We are glad to announce that we received all three certifications from Ernst & Young on December, 14.

What are ISO certifications?

ISO 27001:2013 is the international ISO standard for information security. Gaining this quality label means our procedures and processes for information security are well defined and we can keep them at a high level. It therefore indicates that we deal with (customer) data safely and will continue to do so.

ISO 9001:2015 is aimed at quality control and is a nice addition to ISO 27001:2013. A quality management system has been set up for ISO 9001:2015, which forms the base for more focused work on continuous quality improvement of products and services. This allows us to focus even more on customer wishes and customer satisfaction, which are important values for Xolphin.

WebTrust

Xolphin is WebTrust certified for checking activities as a Registration Authority (RA). WebTrust is an international standard, specifically aimed at the careful and safe execution of the activities required for the control and issuance of digital certificates by RAs and CAs (certificate authorities). Because WebTrust and ISO 27001:2013 are very alike, Xolphin decided to apply for the WebTrust recertification together with the ISO 27001:2013 label, via the same auditor.

Why these certifications?

Obtaining these new certifications allows us to focus on continuous quality improvement of our products and services in an exceptionally structured way. ISO and WebTrust are widely used standards. Especially in Europe, ISO certifications are becoming a more important factor when choosing a supplier. Gaining these certifications ensure a high level of transparency and enables customers to rely on the quality of our products and services worldwide. Due to the continuous focus on information security and quality improvement, we work more efficiently and we can serve our customers and their needs even better.
